Minister of Music
Jim Coker
Jim Coker has served
as Minister of Music in the Church of God since the early 70's. His ministry
began at the Harvey/Millbrook Church of God in Fresno, California. He later
moved to Life Cathedral Church and served there for 26 years. While ministering
at Life Cathedral he also served as Chairman on the State of California Music
committee for over twenty years. Jim and his wife Jackie moved to Alabaster
in 1997 and from then until the present have served as Minister of Music at the
Alabaster Church of God.
Jim has the amazing
ability to develop talent and get the absolute most out of his musicians and
singers. Not only has God blessed him with exceptional talent and musical
ability, but also a heart of worship and a hunger to be in the presence of
Almighty God. Jim's desire is to continue to develop a vibrant anointed music
program at the Alabaster Church of God. He believes that through effective
leadership, training, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you can enter into
HIS presence.

Children's Pastor
Barbara Snyder
I started attending ACOG over six years ago and accepted the position as Children’s Pastor in June
of 2006. My wonderful husband John and our two daughters Olivia and Victoria are
tremendous blessings to me and they always support in the planning of and/or
preparation for children’s events. We are truly blessed at ACOG to work with
such a great group of kids. They are striving to fulfill our three step mission
for children’s ministry: Know, Grow, & Go. We want our children to know God in
His fullness, to grow in His Word, and to fulfill the Great Commission by going
into the world and teaching the lost about God’s amazing love and forgiveness.
I am so blessed to serve in a church where all age groups believe in and support
children’s ministry work. There are numerous parents, teachers, and volunteers
who deserve credit for assisting with the planning and implementation of
lessons, activities, and children’s programs at ACOG. However, one young woman
must be mentioned by name – Brandy Tiller. Ms. Brandy is my right hand, my
comrade, my partner in crime (so to speak)! Whether we have fifteen or forty,
our goal is to minister to the children in a way that will foster a desire in
them to learn more about our precious Lord and His plan for their lives.
